Spicy Pumpkin Cookies
Description: The secret to this spicy pumpkin cookie recipe- Ginger
and a few other ingredients adds a spicy zip to these cookies.
Yields: About 2 and 1/2 dozen.
Ingredients:
| 1 /4 cup |
Soft Butter or Margarine |
| 1/2 cup |
Light Brown Sugar |
| 1/2 cup |
Cooked, strained Pumpkin(or canned) |
| 1 |
Egg |
| 1cup |
Flour |
| 1/2 cup |
Raisins |
| 1/2 cup |
Chopped Almonds(or Walnuts) |
| 2 teaspoons |
Baking Powder |
| 1 teaspoon |
Cinnamon |
| 1/4 teaspoon |
Ginger |
| 1/4 teaspoon |
Nutmeg |
| 1/4 teaspoon |
Salt |
| 1/4 cup |
Diced, Candied Orange Peel |
How to Make Spicy Pumpkin Cookies:

Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.

Sift flour with Baking Powder, Cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg and salt and set
aside.

In a large mixing bowl, beat butter and sugar until fluffy.

Beat in egg and pumpkin.

Stir in flour mixture.

Add in nuts, orange peel and raisins, mixing well.

Drop rounded teaspoonful of dough onto a cookie sheet.

Flatten slightly with spoon.

Make 20 minutes.
Serving Tips and Suggestions:

Sprinkle lightly with Confectionery sugar.

Add candy sprinkles before baking.
