Did You Know? The Term “Jack O’ Lantern originally referred to a man holding a lantern. It originated in 1633. A decade or so later, it referred to strange, mysterious, or, unexplained lights at night over a bog, swamp, or other body of water. They were sometimes called “Ghost Lights”.
Jack O' Lantern Salad Ingredients
6 canned peach halves
2 cups Waldorf Salad
Lettuce leaves
12 cloves
12 strips pimento
Jack O' Lantern Salad Recipe Directions
Are you in a hurry? This recipe is very easy to make. It takes just minutes to put together.
Stuff each peach half with Waldorf salad.
Arrange peaches on lettuce leaves, rounded side up.
Use two cloves for eyes. And pimento strips for the nose and mouth.
Tip: Tell people, especially kids, to remove the cloves, and not try to eat them.
