We have enjoyed this at Boy Scout campouts and at Fall campfires in our backyard. While we talk about this as a Fall treat, you can make them any time of the year when you have a campfire. There are just two ingredients in this recipe. And, it takes just minutes to prepare enough for everyone around the campfire.

Directions How to Make Campfire Cooked Apples Recipe
Cut the core out of the apples.
Place an apple on a piece of aluminum foil.
Fill the empty core cavity with brown sugar.
Wrap apple in aluminum foil.
Repeat steps #2 – #4 for each apple.
Place apples in campfire and cook for about 15 to 20 minutes until tender.
For cooking indoors at home, pre-heat oven to 350 F degrees. Place on a cookie sheet and bake for 15 to 20 minutes until tender.
