Here’s the Apple Kuchen Ingredients:
1 1/4 cups
all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking
baking powder
1/2 teaspoon
salt
1 teaspoon
sugar
1/2 cup
butter
1
egg yolk
2 Tablespoons
milk
3/4-quart
apples, peeled, cored and cut into eighths
Here are the Topping Ingredients:
2 Tablespoons
butter
3/4 cup
sugar
1 1/2 tablespoons
flour
1 teaspoon
sugar
1/4 teaspoon
cinnamon
Apple Kuchen Recipe Directions
Sift together flour, baking powder, salt and sugar.
Cream butter.
Add dry ingredients, mixing thoroughly.
Add in egg yolk, and milk, mixing well.
Press dough into the bottom of a greased baking pan.
Press apple slices into the dough.
Make topping: mix all topping ingredients together, until coarse and crumbly.
Sprinkle topping onto the apples.
Bake in preheated oven at 375° F for 50 minutes.
