Chocolate Pumpkin Cake Recipe Description:

Chocolate Pumpkin Cake is a quick an easy pumpkin recipe. The recipe blends together the great tastes of chocolate and pumpkin. Preparation time is only a few minutes.  

You will enjoy this cake all Fall season long. After Thanksgiving, leave the candy corns off, and serve it during the holidays.


  • 1 box Chocolate cake mix
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon pumpkin spice
  • 1 can frosting
  • 1 cup mini chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped nuts, walnut or pecan
  • candy corns 

Chocolate Pumpkin Cake Recipe Directions:

  1. Pre-heat oven to 350 ° F.
  2. Grease and flour a cake pan.
  3. In a blender, mix together the vegetable oil, eggs, pumpkin, sugar and milk.
  4. Mix in chocolate cake mix. Mix until smooth – 2 to 3 minutes.
  5. Stir in the mini chocolate chips and chopped nuts.
  6. Pour batter into the greased cake pan.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes.
  8. Use a toothpick to test for doneness.
  9. Remove and allow to cool .
  10. Frost top with chocolate frosting.
  11. Sprinkle Candy Corns on top before the frosting hardens.
