Apple Cider Spice Cake Recipe Description:

It wouldn’t be fall without apple cider. This moist cake recipe uses apple cider to create a cake that is perfect for the season.

Make sure to save this recipe in your fall recipe collection. It’s a real oldie, but it’s a  goodie!  

Ingredients:

  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 2 teaspoons ground cloves
  • 2 teaspoons nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
  • 1 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup apple cider
  • 1 cup seedless raisins

 

Apple Cider Spice Cake Recipe Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 ° F.
  2. In a bowl, mix together flour, baking soda, spices and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream together butter and sugar.
  4. Add egg and beat well.
  5. Alternately, add portions of dry ingredients and apple cider.
  6. Stir in raisins
  7. Pour batter into a greased tube pan.
  8. Bake for 50 minutes, or until toothpick comes out clean.

Optional: Top with vanilla frosting.
