Honey Pumpkin Pie Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cup pumpkin puree
  • 3/4 cup honey
  • pinch of baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon cloves
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • 1 1/2 cups evaporated milk
  • 1/4 cup melted butter or margarine
  • 1 ten-inch pie shell, unbaked
  • Whipped cream

Honey Pumpkin Pie Recipe Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375° F.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine pumpkin, honey, and seasonings. Beat together well.
  3. Add eggs, milk and butter. Beat together until thoroughly mixed.
  4. Pour the mixture into an unbaked pie shell.
  5.   Bake in the oven for 1 hour, or until a toothpick in the center comes out clean.
  6. Remove from oven and allow to cool.
  7. Serve individual slices with a dollop of whipped cream on top.

Note: The honey in the pie produces a shiny appearance on top of the pie.
