This is an easy-to-make international recipe for Hungarian baked pumpkin that originated in Hungary. It is surprisingly sweet and mellow. Hungarian Baked Pumpkin Ingredients
1 small pumpkin or squash, peeled and sliced
2 Tbs. butter or margarine
salt
pepper
cream or sour cream
Hungarian Baked Pumpkin Directions
Put a manageable size of sliced, skinned pumpkin, or half of smaller squashes, in aluminum foil.
Add salt, pepper and butter.
Bake in an oven at 350 F degrees for 30 minutes, or until it is soft.
Test for softness with a skewer.
It can be served with just about anything- cream, sour cream,salt.
