Hungarian Baked Pumpkin Recipe Description:

This is an International recipe for Hungarian Baked pumpkin that originated in Hungary. It is surprisingly sweet and mellow. You will want to add it to your pumpkin recipe file.

  • 1 small pumpkin or squash, peeled and sliced
  • 2 Tbs. butter or margarine
  • salt
  • pepper
  • cream or sour cream

Recipe Directions:

  1. Put a manageable sizes of  sliced, skinned pumpkin, or half of smaller squashes, in aluminum foil.
  2. Add salt, pepper and butter.
  3. Bake in an oven at 350 F degrees for 30 minutes , or until it is soft.
  4. Test for softness with a skewer.
  5. It can be served with just about anything- cream, sour cream ,salt.
