This recipe is an oldie, but goodie. You can make your own pie shell,. Or, make it easier on yourself and buy one.


  • 1 pie shell (homemade or store-bought)
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine, softened
  • 3/4 cups dark brown sugar
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups, pumpkin puree, cooked
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 5 egg whites

Pumpkin Chiffon Pie Recipe Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 ° F.
  2. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in egg yolks, spices, pumpkin puree, then heavy cream.
  4. In a separate bowl, beat egg white until they form light peaks.
  5. Stir 1/4 of egg whites into the pumpkin mixture.
  6. Fold in remaining egg white.
  7. Pour pumpkin mixture into the pie shell.
  8. Bake in oven for 45-50 minutes.
  9. Cool before serving.
