This recipe is an oldie, but goodie. You can make your own pie shell. Or, make it easier on yourself and buy one.
Beat in egg yolks, spices, pumpkin puree, then heavy cream.
In a separate bowl, beat egg whites until they form light peaks.
Stir 1/4 of egg whites into the pumpkin mixture.
Fold in the remaining egg white.
Pour pumpkin mixture into the pie shell.
Bake in the oven for 45-50 minutes.
Cool before serving.
