Pumpkin Biscuits Recipe Description:

This pumpkin biscuits recipe  is another great one from Grandma’s recipe cookbook.

Okay, so biscuits aren’t as popular as they were in Grandma’s day. But, this recipe just might change your family’s mind.

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 cup pumpkin, cooked and mashed
  • 3 teaspoons baking soda
  • 4 Tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 Tablespoon shortening

Recipe Directions:

  1. Pre-heat oven to 425 ° F.
  2. Mix together flour, baking soda, pumpkin pie spice, and salt.
  3. Blend in shortening.
  4. Add in pumpkin and brown sugar, mixing well.
  5. Roll out dough onto a floured cutting board.
  6. Cut biscuits with a cookie or biscuit cutter.
  7. Place biscuits onto a greased cookie sheet.
  8. Bake for 20 minutes.
