Pumpkin Gingerbread Bars Description

 What do you get, when you mix pumpkin and gingerbread flavors together!?  You have the old fashion favorite pumpkin gingerbread bars.

!This is an old-time recipe. Pumpkin and gingerbread flavors mix together well, making these bars a great addition to the dessert tray.

Serve them at your Halloween parties and at Thanksgiving.  

Ingredients:

2Eggs
1/2 cupBrown Sugar
3/4 cupPumpkin, canned
2 Tbs.Molasses
1 tsp.Vanilla Extract
3/4 cupAll-Purpose Flour
1 tsp.Baking Powder
1 tsp.Ground Cinnamon
1 tsp.Ground Ginger
1 Tbs.Confectioner’s Sugar

Pumpkin Gingerbread Bars Recipe Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375 ° F.
  2. Spray a 9-inch square baking pan with non-stick cooking oil spray.
  3. Beat eggs with mixer on high for 2 minutes.
  4. Reduce speed to medium and add brown sugar.
  5. Add pumpkin molasses and vanilla. Beat for two minutes at medium speed.
  6. Add all remaining ingredients, mix in well.
  7. Pour batter into baking pan.
  8. Bake in oven for 20 minutes.
  9. Use a toothpick to test for doneness.
  10. Remove from oven and allow to cool for 10-15 minutes.
  11. Sprinkle confectioner’s sugar over the top.
  12. Cut into squares.
  13. Serve warm or cold.

Serving Suggestion: When serving warm, add a dollop of whipped cream.
