Pumpkin Ice Cream Description

Perhaps this ice cream is not as popular as chocolate or vanilla. But, pumpkin ice cream is a great flavor.

Pumpkin flavor makes for a great ice cream. It also blends well with other flavors. You can add lots of other ingredients to this ice cream recipe.

Add your favorite ice cream topping. And, don’t forget the cherry!

Makes: One Quart.

Ingredients:

Ingredients for Sweet Cream Base:

2 cupHeavy Cream
1 cupMilk
2Eggs
3/4 cupSugar

 

Ingredients for Ice Cream:

 Sweet Cream Base
1 cupCanned Pumpkin
1 teaspoonCinnamon
1 teaspoonNutmeg

Pumpkin Ice Cream Recipe Directions:

Sweet Cream Base Directions:

  1. Whisk eggs in mixing bowl.
  2. Whisk in the sugar, a little at a time until completely blended.
  3. Whisk in cream.
  4. Whisk in milk.

How to Make Ice Cream:

  1. Pour 1/2 of Sweet cream base into a second bowl.
  2. Mix in the pumpkin thoroughly.
  3. Stir in cinnamon and nutmeg.
  4. Add remaining Sweet Cream Base.
  5. Place mixture into ice cream maker. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions and freeze.

Serving Tips and Suggestions:

  • You can add lots of ingredients and toppings to your ice cream. Try adding chopped walnuts or a banana to the mix.
  • All the usual toppings are a great addition, too. They include whipped cream, a cheery, sprinkles, bits of chocolate, peanuts.
