Maple Pumpkin Pie Ingredients
1 pie pastry
3 eggs, beaten
1 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 Teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon nutmeg
2 cups hot milk
2 cups cooked, mashed and strained pumpkin
1 cup whipped cream
1/4 cup maple syrup
Spread whipped cream mixture over the pie.
1/2 cups walnuts, coarsely chopped
How to Make Maple Topped Pumpkin Pie Directions
Place a 9″ pastry in a greased pie pan.
Mix beaten eggs, brown sugar, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg.
Gradually add in hot milk and pumpkin.
Pour mixture into the pie shell.
Bake in preheated oven at 450° F for 10 minutes.
Reduce temperature to 375° F.
Bake for another 30 minutes.
Allow to cool.
In a bowl, add whipped cream.
Fold in maple syrup.
Sprinkle chopped walnuts on top.
Adjustment to Maple Pumpkin Pie Ingredients: Everyone is going to live this pir. But, if someone is allergic to nuts, leave the chopped nuts in a small bowl next to the pie.
